La récré

Our mini ballerinas!

This introductory class to movement and dance allows our little ones aged 3 to 5 to move, socialize, learn to follow instructions, and develop body awareness in space. Plus, we start exploring ballet vocabulary and, of course, we dance to the Frozen soundtrack! A fun class that sparks imagination, creativity, and builds a lovely foundation for ballet.

Please purchase classes individually first to test the waters! Class card purchases are non-refundable.

Please label the slippers: we can't be responsible for lost items!

Questions about kids' classes2025-07-30T18:11:45+00:00

Brand new! We are now offering full-year registration for our regulars who join the same class every week. To keep the group nice and consistent and boost the quality of teaching, we invite you to register for the year (and save some precious dollars!). On the flip side, it’s a little less flexible: you pick a class and come back to that exact one every week. No swaps, returns, or refunds—and that’s why the price is so sweet!

Valid for the purchased year, in the same weekly class, and for your chosen studio. No returns, exchanges, or refunds possible.

With class cards, total flexibility is yours! In fact, these cards never expire and are valid for all kids' classes at your chosen studio. In other words, you can pop in every other week, do 8 weeks in summer and 4 in winter... basically, pure freedom!

Kids' class cards are non-refundable, but they never expire and can be used for any class at your chosen studio.
Yes, we offer a free trial class for children during our open doors. Also, you can purchase a single trial class at $12 + taxes 🙂 That being said, it is really normal that your child does not “participate” very actively from the start. Indeed, just watching, then entering the class, speaking to the instructor, joining the group and finally, dancing, are normal stages of learning. Give your child a few lessons to feel comfortable!

It’s a teeny bit tricky on Momence. Give us a shout so we can help out!

As long as your kiddo feels comfy and cute, you're golden! Leggings & a tank top or leotard & tights, anything does the trick. Fairy wings are highly encouraged! However, you will need a pair of leather ballet slippers (a must for safety!), a reusable water bottle, and a hair tie is definitely recommended.
Yes! For our younger dancers, give them a few weeks to adjust, but generally speaking, it's no problem at all to join anytime. However, we do recommend coming every week so your kid doesn't have to get used to the space and the group all over again each time, making it easier to learn and grow!
Classical ballet in its final form isn't suitable for kids under 7. It can lead to joint issues, growth complications, injuries, and easily overwhelm their attention span. That's why we focus on pre-ballet (which is real ballet!) to build what matters most: rhythm, musicality, movement, directions, body awareness in space, textures, teamwork, memory, proprioception... It might not look like Swan Lake just yet and it can seem super simple at times, but trust us: it's the absolute best path to spark a lifelong passion instead of knee troubles 🙂 PS: We're always thrilled to chat about our lesson plans, just ask us for more scoop on our games and exercises!
Actually, your child sitting on the floor through the whole class is actively participating! Standing up and dancing is the very LAST step in getting comfortable in class. The whole journey includes watching through the window with mom or dad, stepping into the studio for two minutes, agreeing to say hi to the teacher or little friends, and finally staying there solo during class time. So don’t be discouraged at all—your shy little dancer is learning just as much and working their way through the final stages of warming up!

We know how much parents love watching their little ones shine, and we totally get it! But the short answer is no. Except for parent-child classes, we ask parents to quickly head out once their child arrives—no pressing noses against the glass or blocking the doorway, please! This allows our teacher and assistant to work their magic and helps the little dancers focus. Just like at daycare or school! Plus, an open-class recital is held three times a year so you can see all their amazing progress.

Every dancer at the studio needs their own class card. So for two kiddos, you'll need two cards. That said, we do offer a $10 referral discount, so each child can enjoy savings on their classes—just ask us at the front desk!

Make sure you're registering your child under their own name, not yours!

Double-check that their age is listed in their profile. Without a date of birth, the system won't let you book kids' classes.

Check that you're signing them up for the right age group.

Try booking the classes on a computer rather than through the app!
