Don't worry! There are always lots of new faces in class, and we are super-duper welcoming 🙂

  • Show up about 10 minutes early to check in at the front desk!

  • All you need is comfy clothes: leggings & a t-shirt, leotard & tights, shorts & a tank top—you name it! The main thing is to be comfy and feel good, so wear whatever you like!

  • Ballet slippers or workout socks are recommended, along with a water bottle and a hair tie! We'll lend you a yoga mat and anything else you need, completely free.

  • Parking can be a bit of a scramble in the Plateau and Verdun, mostly meters. NDG has plenty of free street parking nearby, and Saint-Lambert and Beloeil both have free parking lots attached.

  • You can pay right at the studio with cash, debit, credit, or barter if you happen to have a litter of puppies. We love puppies.

Easy peasy, lemon squeezy!

Questions about adult classes2025-10-16T16:51:55+00:00

You used to dance, but it’s been forever –> Yes.
You’ve never danced a day in your life –> Yes.
You’re a guy –> Yes.
You carry extra weight / have flat feet / have grey hair / have curves / have zero flexibility / have the memory of a goldfish –> Yes.

Bottom line: YOU TOTALLY BELONG HERE! All we're missing is you, honestly!

First time joining us? We suggest starting with our signature Sans chichis class, a happy blend of fitness and ballet, so you can try a little bit of everything! Next up, our Corps de ballet barre workout will make you break a good sweat (in the best way!), while Petite technique will give you that true ballerina vibe. Try Barre au sol for a soothing but seriously deep workout, Stretch to finally nail your splits, or Contemporary to dance your heart out! And if you want to build a solid foundation at the barre, we definitely recommend our Barre tendresse class!

When it comes to outfits, it’s all about feeling comfy and totally fierce! Leggings & a tank top or a leotard & tights—anything goes. You will need a pair of socks or ballet slippers though (we sell super cute ones at the boutique if you need a pair!), a reusable water bottle, and a hair tie is definitely a good idea. Everything else is waiting for you at the studio—yoga mats are provided for free!

Yes, absolutely! Our classes are designed so that anyone can hop in at any point during the season. Just a few little things to keep in mind:

  • Petite and Moyenne technique, as well as Pointe, can take 2–3 weeks to settle into when you jump in mid-season, since we build on things week after week. Just go at your own pace and bring a little self-love and laughter 🙂
  • Contemporary and Jazz feature choreography combos that switch up every month. So it’s best to jump in at the start of the month to learn the full piece or if you're a beginner. Otherwise, you can totally hop in mid-month, but there will be a little catching up to do!
Questions about our kids' classes2025-07-30T18:08:55+00:00

Fresh and exciting: we now offer full-year registration for our regulars who come to the same class every week! To keep groups nice and steady and take teaching quality to the next level, sign up for the year and save big! Keep in mind, it is a bit less flexible: you choose one class and stick with it every week, all year long. We don't do swaps, make-ups, or refunds—which is exactly why the price is so sweet!

Valid for the purchased session, in the same weekly class and at your chosen studio. No make-ups, swaps, or refunds available.

With class cards, you get the ultimate in flexibility! They never expire and are valid for all kids' classes at your chosen studio. In other words, drop in every other week, do 8 weeks in the summer and 4 in the winter—it’s total freedom! Just like our other services, they are non-refundable.

Kids' class cards are non-refundable, but they never expire and can be used for any kids' class at your chosen studio.

Yes! We offer a free trial class during our open houses, plus a kids' trial class for $12 + tax 🙂 That said, it's totally normal if your kid doesn't “participate” super actively during their very first classes. Just watching, then stepping into the studio, talking to the teacher, joining the group, and finally dancing are all totally normal stages of warming up. Give your mini-dancer a few classes to feel at home!

If you take a trial class and then decide to sign up for the whole year, the cost of that class will be deducted from your total amount.

It’s a teeny bit tricky on Momence. Give us a call or pop in to see us before class!

As long as your child feels comfy and cute, anything goes! Leggings & a tank top or a leotard & tights—it all works. Fairy wings are highly encouraged! They will, however, need a pair of leather ballet slippers (mandatory for safety), a reusable water bottle, and a hair elastic is super handy.

Yes! For the younger ones, plan on a couple of weeks to settle in, but generally, jumping in anytime is no problem at all. However, we do recommend coming every week so your kid doesn't have to get used to the space and the group all over again each time, helping them get the most out of their learning. In that case, grabbing flexible class passes is the way to go!

Ballet in its final, traditional form isn't suitable for kids under 7. It can lead to joint issues, growth complications, and injuries, and it pushes beyond their attention span. That’s why we do pre-ballet (which is 100% real ballet!) to focus on what matters most: rhythm, musicality, movement, directions, body awareness, textures, teamwork, memory, proprioception… It might not look like Swan Lake just yet and might seem simple at times, but trust us: it's the best way to spark a lifelong passion instead of knee troubles 🙂 PS: We always love chatting about our lesson plans—just ask us for more fun details about our games and exercises!

Actually, a child who sits on the floor the whole class is actively participating! Standing up and dancing is the very LAST step of settling into class. The whole journey includes peeking through the window with mom, stepping into the room for two minutes, agreeing to talk to the teacher or little friends, and finally being able to stay solo for the full hour. So don't be discouraged—your little observer is soaking it all in and getting closer to that final step!

We know all parents love seeing their little ones in action—we totally get it!—but the answer is no. Apart from parent-child classes, we kindly ask parents to head out promptly once their child arrives / avoid pressing noses against the glass / keep the doorway clear. This lets the teacher and assistant work their magic, and helps the little dancers focus. Just like at daycare or school! We do host an open-class recital three times a year so you can cheer them on.

Everyone taking classes at the studio needs their own class pass. So for two kids, that’s two separate passes. That being said, we offer a $10 referral discount so every child gets a little perk on their classes—just ask us at the front desk!

Make sure you're registering under your child’s own name, not yours!

Check that their age is listed in their account. Without a birthdate, the system won't let you book kids' classes.

Make sure you're signing them up for the right age group.

Try booking the classes on a computer instead of the app!

Questions about class cards and memberships2025-11-11T16:48:22+00:00

Our classes are never free, because the talent and energy of our teachers and welcome crew have real value! But you can easily buy a single drop-in class to give it a whirl. We also have an unlimited intro week for $46 + tax, or a kids' trial class for $12 + tax 🙂

It’s a simple two-step process: grab your class card or membership, then reserve your spot in the class you want. Once you have one or more classes on your account, you can book as you go without any fuss, though popular classes do fill up faster. You can reserve whenever you like. Plus, you can change your bookings up to 12 hours before class starts!

We’re so sorry you missed your class (really!). We know that sometimes, life just happens. However, we ask for 12 hours’ notice so we can offer your spot to someone waiting eagerly on the waitlist. Without that heads-up, we can't reach them in time, which is a bummer for both us and your fellow dancers. That's why the class credit is lost, but don't worry—we know you’ll rock it next time!

Class cards are non-refundable, but they never expire. We designed it that way to give you maximum flexibility! Memberships are non-refundable and can be paused or cancelled upon request!

Any purchase at Mile-End, Verdun, Beloeil, or Saint-Lambert gives you access to all four studios, yay! * On the other hand, NDG is a franchise, so its class cards and memberships are exclusive to that studio.

*Certain promos are valid only at specific studios, as noted.

The waitlist automatically sends an email to everyone on the list as soon as a spot opens up. The first person to click and grab it gets the spot! Multiple spots can open up, so keep your eyes peeled!

Also, be sure to check that our emails aren't going to your spam and that you're receiving our messages, so you don't miss out when a spot frees up! That part's on you 🙂

Questions about the facilities2025-01-22T20:30:08+00:00

No showers, but yes to changing rooms! We also have facecloth stations ready for a quick freshen-up if you need one. No need for a padlock—they’re traditional ballet-style changerooms where you hang your coat, and your bags come right into the dance studio with you!

Mile-End: surrounding streets, some free, some requiring permits. On Saint-Laurent Blvd: paid meters that are a bit pricey.

Verdun: surrounding streets, some free, some requiring permits. On Wellington St.: budget-friendly paid meters.

Saint-Lambert: parking lot on the side and back of the building (just be mindful of the signs reserved for Ricardo!)

NDG: surrounding streets, some free, some requiring permits. On Sherbrooke St.: budget-friendly paid meters.

Fleury: surrounding streets, some free, some requiring permits. Free spots on Christophe-Colomb; budget-friendly paid meters on Fleury St.

Yes, we do! We stock all the essentials, and if we happen to be out of your size, we can usually get it in for you within the week.
