The certification includes a theoretical part and a practical part, which cover all the subjects necessary to teach group classes: physical conditioning, anatomy, physiology, training movements, basics of ballet, safety and corrections, special populations, course design, musicality, communication… in short, you will have all the tools to start your own class.

Chief instructor and kinesiologist

Former diving athlete and longtime lover of physical activity, Maude has a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology, a DESS in sports therapy as well as a LesMills certification and a 100-hour training course in teaching vinyasa yoga.

Camille Rouleau, MBA
Ballet Hop! Founder

Camille founded Ballet Hop! in 2016 and has been teaching adults since 2011. Holder of a Bachelor of Commerce and an MBA in Strategy and Innovation, she is also a F.I.T. and CanFitPro certified group class instructor and personal trainer. She is currently completing her Cecchetti certification.

FAQ

No training experience, no ballet experience… or no experience whatsoever? This a great way to start your career as a group fitness class instructor! It’s also a strong complement if you’d like to include ballet moves to your classes, to improve your own practice or simply to have fun!

We train our instructors in small groups. There are no pre-requisites apart from being in good health and physically able to teach the class (which includes cardio, muscular training and stretching components)

Comfortable clothes, ballet shoes or workout socks, a reusable water bottle and a pen. We will supply the Instructor booklet, as well as your first choreographed routine.

Initial certification $399 +tx
Annual re-certification: $129 +tx

We offer teaching jobs in our studios to our Certified instructors in priority. However, there’s no guarantee of employment.

No, the certification allows you to improve your knowledge and create your own course programs. Want to be part of the Ballet Hop!™ adventure instead? Contact us about our franchise opportunities!

Once you have accessed the training platform, the certification is no longer refundable or exchangeable. On the other hand, the workshop and exam dates can be modified up to 48 hours prior to your appointment.
