Yes, we offer a trial class for children at $12 + taxes 🙂 That being said, it is really normal that your child does not “participate” very actively from the start. Indeed, just watching, then entering the class, speaking to the instructor, joining the group and finally, dancing, are normal stages of learning. Give your child a few lessons to feel comfortable!
As long as your child feels good and cute, it’s perfect! Leggings & camisole or leotard & tights, anything does the trick. Fairy wings encouraged! However, you need a pair of leather ballet shoes (mandatory for safety), a reusable water bottle, a hair tie is recommended.
Yes! For our young dancers, allow a few weeks for adaptation. In general, there is no problem to start at any time. However, we recommend coming every week so that kids do not have to reacquaint themselves with the place and the group each time, and can learn as much as possible!

Classical ballet in its final form is not appropriate for children under 7 years old. It can create joint problems, growth problems, injuries and surpass children’s ability to concentrate. That’s why we do pre-ballet (which IS ballet!) to learn equally important things: rhythm, musicality, movement, directions, the body in space, textures, group work, memory, proprioception… It might not look like Swan Lake and can feel quite simple at times but trust us – it’s the right pathway to develop a great passion instead of knee problems 🙂  PS: Feel free to ask us about our class plans and the purpose of our games and exercises!

On the contrary, your child who is sitting on the floor the whole class is actively participating! Standing and dancing is the LAST step in the process of integrating the child into the class. The whole process includes looking from the window with mom, entering the room for two minutes, then agreeing to talk to the teacher or friends, and finally being able to stay there alone during the class hour. So don’t be discouraged, your child who is a little shy learns just as much and reaches the final stages of their integration!

We know that all parents like to see their little one at work and we understand 100%, but the answer is no. Apart from parent-child lessons, we ask parents to leave the studio quickly when their child arrives/not to squish their faces in the windows/not to block everyone’s passage in the door frame. This allows the instructor and assistant to do their work, and the little ones to concentrate. A bit like daycare or school! A recital in the form of an open class is also planned three times a year.

Each person who attends classes at the studio must have their own class card. So for two children, two class cards. That being said, we offer a $10 discount for references, so each child benefits from a discount on their lessons, ask us at reception!

Make sure you register the child under their own name, not yours!

Check that their age is correctly indicated in their account. Without a date of birth, the system will not allow children to register for classes.

Make sure you are choosing the correct age group.
